Bayle's Flame Lightning is an incantation spell in Shadow of the Erdtree. It is one of the Dragon Communion Incantations.
Description[]
One of the greatest Dragon Communion incantations. Harnesses the fearsome power of Bayle the Dread.
Channels the form of the dread dragon in the right arm to smash foes with an exposed talon bone coursing with flame lightning.
Even after being consumed, the throbbing heart of Bayle continues to resist its subjugation, never weakening. One day, the fire within will consume the very body and soul of its Communion devourer. One day.
Acquisition[]
Dragon Communion: Foot of the Jagged Peak
- Trade the Heart of Bayle at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion.
- Mutually exclusive with Bayle's Tyranny, as the Heart of Bayle and its reward cannot be duplicated.
Effects[]
Summons one of Bayle's arms to slam down with, causing an explosion around the point of impact. A direct hit deals Standard damage equal to 250% of Incantation Scaling, Lightning damage equal to 280% of the same, and Fire damage equal to 220% of the same, while an enemy that isn't directly hit but moves into the point of impact afterward is dealt Lightning damage equal to 200% of Incantation Scaling and Fire damage equal to 150% of the same.
Enemies just outside of the hit area take Fire damage equal to 30% of Incantation Scaling and Lightning damage equal to 15% of the same.
Notes[]
- Damage is boosted by 15% per Dragon Communion Seal held in an active hand (2 max).
- Damage is boosted by 20% when the Rock Heart is used.
- Has some Hyperarmor when cast, and can thus resist a hit or two from most foes before being knocked down on the ground.
- While it does partially do Lightning damage, it won't cause the same spreading aftershocks on water that other Lightning damage spells do.
Trivia[]
- Patch 1.14 increased attack power.
- This increased the damage of the initial hit, with the Lightning attack power going from 250% of Incantation Scaling to 280% of the same and the Fire attack power going from 190% of Incantation Scaling to 220% of the same.
