Acquisition[]

Guaranteed Drop: Leyndell, Royal Capital

Effects[]

Grants a Body Buff that decreases Magic damage taken by 60% (20% in PvP) for 70 seconds for caster and allies within a 6 meter radius.

Notes[]

  • Costs 13 points of Stamina to cast.
  • Overall a very strong defensive incantation, if one that comes a bit late and will most likely come after the Magic-heavy area of Liurnia of the Lakes, with only the Astels and Loretta being the major Magic damage bosses left.
  • Since it doesn't actually apply a flat increase to damage negation, just the damage taken, the actual effective new damage negation (the one shown on the character screen) can be calculated with the following formula: 1 - (1 - (current Magic damage negation)/100) * (1 - 0.60).
    • As an example, if Magic damage negation before casting the incantation is 25.000 the result becomes this: 1 - (1 - 25.000/100) * (1 - 0.60) = 0.7, or 70.0% Magic damage negation.
    • Against other players, simply replace the 0.60 with 0.20 for a new end result of 40.0% Magic damage negation.
  • Since it's effectively the damage taken that is reduced, the higher Magic damage negation stat a character has before casting the spell the less effective it may appear to be in the statistics.
