This Ash of War grants an armament the Keen affinity and the following skill:
"Piercing Throw: Throw armament with a powerful spin, causing it to bore through foes. When using this skill, the armament can be thrown further than normal and also pierce through enemies."
Usable on beast claws.

Applies the skill Piercing Throw to any infusable Throwing Blades

Compatible with the affinities Standard and Keen by default, and also Heavy and Quality if the Iron Whetblade has been acquired, Fire and Flame Art if the Red-Hot Whetblade has been acquired, Lightning and Sacred if the Sanctified Whetblade, Magic and Cold if the Glintstone Whetblade has been acquired, and Poison, Blood, and Occult if the Black Whetblade has been acquired.

Guaranteed Drop: Scadu Altus
- Dropped by an explosive Teardrop Scarab found by one of the pillars just east of the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past.
- It's guarded by a small group of Misbegotten.
Once this item has been obtained, it can be duplicated by trading in Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg.

- Since Piercing Throw is already the innate skill of the only infusable Throwing Blade, this Ash of War's purpose is mostly to grant them different Affinities while keeping the default skill.
