Ancestral Follower Ashes is a spirit ash in Elden Ring.
A surprisingly effective summon. By default it will use slow but powerful bow attacks that have EXTREME range and excellent accuracy. If anything gets within close range it will switch to a flurry of decent melee attacks with an axe. Its tendency to stay at range combined with quite good health results in this spirit being able to stay alive for quite a surprising amount of time even against bosses and putting out good damage over time while doing so. Bosses will frequently get distracted to go after the spirit instead of you after only one or two bow shots, and will put at least one good continuous attack combo into the spirit, giving you a few uncontested seconds where you can rip a flurry of attacks into the boss or heal.
Can be a bit difficult to obtain given how long it takes to summon, and then defeat, the Ancestor Spirit, but it is well worth it.
