After stealing a fragment of Destined Death, Ranni the Witch performed a dark ritual to imbue its power into mishappen blades.[4][5] Alecto and her fellow assassins took the daggers, donned silent, silver scale armor, and made their way toward the Royal Capital.[6][3][2]
Alecto masked her presence with a concealing veil as she and her co-conspirators entered Leyndell beneath the cover of darkness.[7] When the moment was right, they carved the Cursemark of Death into Godwyn's flesh and slew his soul. Alecto's daughter, Tiche, died protecting her during their ensuing flight from the capital.[1] Alecto herself was later captured and sealed within an Evergaol by an unknown party.[8]
