Abductor Virgin is an enemy in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

Abductor Virgins are automatons affiliated with the Volcano Manor. Originally designed with the intent of capturing and transposing victims for interrogation, they can be found strewn around the Lands Between. Though the majority have lost their powers of transposition, they will still attempt to fulfill their original directive if approached.

To aid in their task, Abductor Virgins have been outfitted with heavy weaponry on both arms that alter how they approach each target. When a Virgin has approached a target, they will open their chest cavity and attempt to pull them in with serpentine tendrils. Given the loss of their transposition ability, the target will be constricted instead. If they survive this, they will be spat back out.

They are weak to Lightning damage and all damage taken is greatly increased if attacked when their chest cavity is opened during a charge or attempted grab.

Variant Description[]

A model with arms that end in great iron wheels, based on the device used by Inquisitor Ghiza.[1] One such model lies at the bottom of the big waterwheel of Raya Lucaria, its transpostitional powers still fully intact.[2]

These variants will often use their wheels by pressing them down on the ground. When placing both wheels at their sides, they will either perform a small spin in place, or a larger spin where they gradually spiral outwards. When there is distance, the Virgin will place both wheels in front and rapidly accelerate forward. Sometimes they will stop before reaching the target and open their chest cavity in an attempt to grab them.

Variant Description[]

A model with arms that end in great scythes on chains that it can extend and retract at will. Though they only have one spin attack, they will often use it to get some distance between them and their target. At the very end, they may throw their scythes at the target. This is something that they will do whenever there is sufficient distance. It is important to be careful after dodging the initial throw, as the scythe may hit when it is being retracted. This is especially true when near the Virgin, as the scythe will spin back around behind it upon return.

It's important to note that the Scythe can sometimes go through walls.
